Description
Campus Auxiliaries provide an efficient, integrated network of crucial services that keep campus running smoothly.Campus Auxiliaries include:
IU Transportation: Campus Bus, Parking Operations, Sustainable Transportation, Fleet Services
IU Dining & Hospitality: Residential Dining (dining halls, eateries), Retail/Restaurant Dining (campus stores, cafes, and restaurants, including all IMU dining), IU Catering, IU Biddle Hotel
Distribution and Logistics Services: IU Surplus, IU Warehouse, Campus Mail, Printing Services
Early Childhood Educational Services: Campus View, Hoosier Courts Nursery School, Campus Childre's Center
Housing Operations: Cleaning, maintenance, and repair for all on-campus housing
Job Summary
- Works closely with executive director of Strategic Communications and Marketing, the Auxiliaries Communications and Marketing team and interns, Campus Auxiliaries directors, and campus partners to ensure project intake, management, and execution.
- Uses the project management system ClickUp.
- Serves as backup for creative projects using existing skill sets, and trains in areas of interest; includes graphic design, photo/video, social media, web design, copywriting, PowerPoint/report creation, market research, advertisements, and more.
- Provides timely production updates and uses critiques as growth opportunities.
- Participates in various meetings, critiques, and brainstorming sessions as necessary.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field)
Preferred
- Experience in project management systems and/or office management
Required
- Possess a valid United States driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University upon date of hire
Required
- Experience with project management systems
- Ability to quickly learn ClickUp project management software
- Demonstrated professionalism, dependability, and respect for others
- Excellent written/communication and knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style
- Strong decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented/collaborative atmosphere
- Demonstrated sense of curiosity and creativity
- Strives for ongoing improvement and is passionate about learning
- Demonstrates comfortableness with using feedback to improve skills
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (CC): InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Experience creating designs for campaigns and social media
- Understanding of effective design principles and typography
- Experience copy writing, editing, graphic and web design, social media, photo/video, and market research
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. This role requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 30 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
